On Campus

  • Report incidents of concerning, threatening, inappropriate, or violent behaviour to the Safer Community Program. For immediate assistance contact Campus Security.
  • Contact Campus Security immediately if you notice suspicious behaviour occurring on campus.
  • Know the location of your nearest Emergency Blue Telephone. These directly contact security and have video surveillance nearby.
  • Never leave valuable items of property unsecured and unattended.
  • Never lend anyone your office keys or access card. Keys, passwords and safe combinations should not be left in desk drawers.
  • Report lost or stolen keys and staff cards to Campus Security.
  • Do not wedge open doors that are locked or require swipe card access.
  • When walking around the University, watch out for traffic.
  • Don’t be distracted by your mobile phone or other portable devices when walking around campus.
  • Ensure all confidential information and data is stored securely.
  • Stop and challenge strangers in your work area. If in doubt, call Campus Security.
  • If working after hours, utilise the Campus Security Escort Service.
  • Lock your bike using a D-lock.
